Prices for two new Nissans have been announced. The eagerly awaited 350Z Roadster will cost í‚á£26,000 for the base model, with the GT coming in at í‚á£28,500. Meanwhile, the Murano SUV - which shares the Roadster"s 3.5-litre V6 engine, as well as its on-sale date - will be priced í‚á£29,800. There are currently no plans for a diesel model.

Product development chief at GM, Bob Lutz, revealed at the Detroit Motor Show he"s already worked out what drivers will do when their hydrogen-powered car is running low on juice. He told Auto Express: "When they are getting low on hydrogen, motorists will simply hit the "fuel" button on the sat-nav screen and it will give them directions to the nearest filling station. It"s the only sane way of getting the car topped up."

The TruScene camera records a 30-second loop which it deletes unless it senses an impact. Then it retains the recording to be viewed later. Maker TruScene says it could reduce hit-and-run offences and stop drivers dodging liability. The screen-mounted camera contains a GPS device to monitor your location and logs the time and date. The kit debuts at the British Motor Show and is expected to go on sale this autumn.

They say this is overlooked as bikes aren"t the primary mode of transport in the developed world.

The model, called the A-HEV (Automobile-Hybrid Electric Vehicle), was unveiled at the Guangzhou Motor Show in China by local firm Guangzhou Automobile Group (GAC), and it combines a muscular shape with a minimalist interior and extensive use of glass.
