A new parts programme...

A new parts programme has the makings of a classic. Designed for loyal customers, the Land Rover Classic Parts initiative has been set up to make sure owners of older 4x4s can keep their cars on the road with easy access to genuine components. The scheme will be launched in October and covers the Range Rover Classic (1970-1994) and Discovery Series I (1989-1994). The spares, which will come with their own unique branding, will be available from dealers.

Due on sale in the UK in January, the C2 and C4 models will line up alongside existing VTR variants. Badged "by Loeb", the two cars come in black or red with white alloy wheels and neat decals on the doors and rear.

Windscreen insurance...

Windscreen insurance discs have come a step closer, with the reading of a Private Member"s Bill in the House of Commons. Andy Burnham, Labour MP for Leigh, Lancs, tabled an amendment to the Road Traffic Act 1988, in which he called for discs to be made law. It will get a second reading in March.

Doing the windscreen insurance can be too beneficial and can save us form investing too much money, so its better to take it then spending so much money later.
