A text acknowledgement is sent by Flux, followed by a call from an advisor within two minutes. The service costs 50p on top of whatever the text costs by the caller"s network provider. A typical quote for a new risk is estimated to take five minutes, sometimes more, so the text option could save money.

Using a special simulator that shows ‘real life’ situations, it hopes to demonstrate to drivers the benefits of the Electronic Stability Program (ESP). A three-minute simulator ride explains how the technology works and the way in which it helps to avoid accidents.

The company is also drawing up plans for driver training

programmes in partnership with MotorSport Vision, owner of the Brands Hatch race circuit in Kent. It wants to give motorists the opportunity to learn how to use ESP effectively and safely with specialist instructors.
