Unlike the company’s successful Lite model, this has a built-in 40mm display which uses organic LED technology and is claimed to produce a clearer image, even in bright sunlight.
It provides voice warnings of all fixed cameras, plus possible mobile sites, accident hotspots and congestion charging zones. There’s also a trip computer that shows average and max speed, as well as an odometer.
However, what really sets the Elite apart is the fact users can set up profiles for vehicles other than passenger cars and motorcycles. It can differentiate between buses and coaches, goods vehicles above and below 7.5 tonnes, articulated or towing vehicles and cars pulling a trailer or caravan, all of which have different speed limits. And unlike rivals, the Elite also comes with a small remote control for easier operation.
