It"s impossible to name them all here, but a handful are, I predict, stars of tomorrow. To mark the 50th anniversary...

To mark the 50th anniversary of the HiQ British Touring Car Championship, Auto Express is backing the sporting spectacular for the fifth consecutive season. An epic 2007 series drew more than 300,000 live spectators, as the 10-round championship went right down to the wire.

In the final race at Thruxton, Hants, SEAT’s Jason Plato was beaten to the title by Vauxhall’s Fabrizio Giovanardi. The battle also saw more than 1.5 million viewers tune in live on ITV. Alan Gow, the series director, said: “The tie-up with Auto Express has made a huge contribution to our growth and helped us win thousands of new fans.” The 2008 series starts on 30 March at Brands Hatch in Kent.
