Whether we’re car drivers, bikers or bus and coach users, we each have our corners to fight and are all entitled to our say. And the same is true of truck operators. The Swansea-based official register keeper has now given a bizarre explanation for its cash-grabbing scheme, saying a local number would let residents in South Wales ring at lower costs than the rest of the country. But it claims it chose not to use an 0845 lo-call number, which costs only 4p a minute to everybody, because this would be too expensive to run.
