It"s official ò€“ Saabò€™s new 9-5 is here! These pictures show the replacement for the Swedish firmò€™s long-standing executive saloon in all its glory ò€“ and itò€™s a lot more handsome than the car it replaces. While itò€™s still clearly a 9-5, Saabò€™s designers have cleaned up the lines to give it a much tidier look than the outgoing model.

There are seven engine...

There are seven engine variants in all, topped by the hot 2.0-litre blown unit. The 193bhp A200 Turbo covers 0-60mph in eight seconds, and carries on to 141mph. It will be joined by four-cylinder 1.5, 1.7 and 2.0-litre petrol units, as well as three 2.0-litre oil-burners.

The CDI diesels are up to 38 per cent more powerful than current cars, with a maximum of 46 per cent more torque. All models comply with strict Euro IV emissions regulations. The A-Class, which will come in a choice of three trim levels, debuts here next February.
