Engineers at Prodrive...

Engineers at Prodrive are going green. The Oxfordshire firm has agreed a deal to build the Tango, a radical electric car. The two-seater is only 1.20 metres wide, and uses a 1+1 seating layout. It was designed by US firm Commuter Cars Corporation (CCC), and Prodrive - best known for its Subaru specials - will build 100 for sale in the States.

In a brilliant sportscar career, the 37-year-old Scot has triumphed in just about every major international GT race with Audi, with the notable exception of Le Mans. And that’s a jinx McNish sadly failed to break at the weekend in France, despite dominating the 75th running of the classic event in the R10 he shared with team-mates Dindo Capello and Tom Kristensen.

Fans awaiting the all-new Nissan GT-R shouldn"t hold their breath - the supercar has been delayed again. Product planning boss Patrick Pelata says it will now be unveiled at the Tokyo Motor Show in October 2007. He told us: "A car such as the GT-R has to make technology breakthroughs. It takes time to find these solutions."

The seat features red...

The seat features red and black upholstery with a matching safety harness and the logo stitched into the seatback.

The mini bucket seat comes with high sides for added security and offers Isofix mountings to ensure easy and safe installation. Currently only available in Japan, it costs the equivalent of ÷£186.
