These are the first official pictures of the Golf Plus, and show how the firm has subtly altered the MkV hatch to find new customers. Slotting between the conventional five-door and the Touran people carrier, it"s effectively a replacement for the Golf estate. That was a capable car, but not a strong seller, and bosses say the Plus is aimed at those who want extra practicality without opting for a load-lugger or an MPV.

So not only can you snap that great view or quaint village, but you will also be able to return, as both units remember the exact spot the picture was taken from. Using the NavPix menu, all you have to do is select a picture stored on the 4GB hard drive and a route will be calculated for your return.
Navigation is similar to Navman"s other units, with a choice of displays and both audio and visual directions. NavPix uses a four-inch widescreen and you can also swap images with other Navman users on its website.
