The curved grooves in...

The curved grooves in the solid tread blocks also play a key role in reducing uneven wear. Aimed solely at the replacement market, the S.Drive also boasts a narrow width, which makes fitting bigger wheel and tyre sizes easier, reducing the risk of fouling wheelarches.

Yokohama"s engineers have developed a new "micro-flexible" rubber compound for S.Drive, which is designed to improve ride comfort without losing any grip. In comparison with the firm"s original formula, the addition of extra silica has enhanced traction in the wet, while more polymer should give improved performance when it"s dry.

There are 35 sizes in the S.Drive line-up, covering rim sizes from 14 to 20 inches, 35 to 55 profile and 185mm to 255mm width, with speed ratings spanning V to Y (150mph to 186mph). For more information, log on to the firm"s website at www.yokohama.co.uk or call 01908 625625 to find your nearest stockist.
