So when one appeared...
So when one appeared on auction website eBay it caught our eye, and when we realised what state it was in - slightly "restyled" at the front - we were even more intrigued. The starting bid was í‚á£130,000, and the seller said the car had a mere 353 miles on the clock and was waiting for a new owner in Florida. But then the plot thickened - the Enzo mysteriously disappeared off the Internet before the end of the auction. It"s not clear whether it was sold privately, or Ferrari was unhappy and stepped in to get the sale stopped.
The FR-V will be a six-seater...
The FR-V will be a six-seater, and features interior cues from the popular Jazz supermini. The seats, which tumble flat into the floor to give a completely level load area, have been arranged in a similar style to the Multipla"s, in two rows of three. Staggered middle chairs in both rows will increase legroom. A new safety idea features up front, where a single airbag extends across the width of the dash, rather than individual bags for driver and passengers.
Set to arrive in British showrooms in November, the FR-V is expected to cost around í‚á£15,000. Initially, it will be available with a choice of two petrol engines: a 125bhp 1.7-litre unit and a 150bhp 2.0. The 1.7 will come with a five-speed manual gearbox, while the 2.0-litre will get a six-speed unit. An automatic will be added next year.
Also set to appear in 2005 is a 2.2-litre diesel variant. It will use the excellent 140bhp i-CDTI engine from the Accord and is expected to account for more than half of FR-V sales.
