The Englishman led for most of the 200 laps, but a malfunctioning radio caused him to lose time during his final pitstop, handing victory to Tony Kanaan (in green). Although happy to be back on top of the points table, Wheldon was frustrated to see a safe win slip through his fingers. “Our pace was the best out there, but with no radio we were being conservative with the time to pit. That’s what really hindered us,” he said.
