Engineers are currently working on two machines, one of which will be a new version of the flagship LS. The Alpine set-up is ÷£250, and has a new feature called Full Speed, which allows real time control of the Apple device. To select your music, press the source button until the display reads "iPod", then scroll through the menu by using the volume control to choose the track you want.
Installation costs about ÷£50, but you can save money by wiring up the system yourself. Apart from making the standard ICE connections, all you need to do is run a cable to somewhere - such as the glovebox - where the iPod can be safely stored while driving.
