Honda"s initial predictions estimated UK sales would peak at 1,500 models each year, but 18,033 examples have found homes since its introduction in 2001.
The new five-door Civic arrives in January, priced from í‚á£12,685. But fans of the Type R will be disappointed - as there is no direct replacement planned. However, bosses are evaluating a hot three-door model.
