Crossover concepts are the order of the day! Following close behind the Acura ZDX which broke cover yesterday, Hyundai has revealed a coupe-style SUV of its own. The FR-V will be a six-seater, and features interior cues from the popular Jazz supermini. The seats, which tumble flat into the floor to give a completely level load area, have been arranged in a similar style to the Multipla"s, in two rows of three. Staggered middle chairs in both rows will increase legroom. A new safety idea features up front, where a single airbag extends across the width of the dash, rather than individual bags for driver and passengers.

Rock crawling is the...

Rock crawling is the latest remote control car craze to hit the UK ò€“ and Tamiya has joined in with this new Toyota Land Cruiser model.

Before you can tackle any extreme terrain, youò€™ll have to assemble the ladder frame chassis, complete with its specially designed axles and transmission. Even though the instructions are detailed and easy to follow, you will need to set aside a couple of evenings.

In addition, the shell has to be painted, although thereò€™s a good range of stickers to give a decent finish. As soon as you take to the rough, though, all the effort is instantly rewarded. The Land Cruiser will go just about anywhere thanks to its locked differentials, low-gear ratios and sticky foam-filled tyres. The tougher the terrain the better. Whatò€™s more, unlike conventional remote control electric buggies or touring cars, the battery lasts for ages as everything is done at walking pace or less. Youò€™ll never have so much fun driving slowly!
