Truckers, van drivers and farmers will be forbidden from smoking in their vehicles as part of a law in Scotland which outlaws lighting up in the workplace from next month. The Road Haulage Association said 50,000 Scottish lorry drivers, as well as hauliers from England and overseas, would be affected.

Proton"s Gen2 has always...

Proton"s Gen2 has always been let down by one thing - its drab beige interior. So now the firm has added a dark grey alternative to the line-up. And if you buy before the end of June, there is the choice to upgrade to full leather at no extra cost.

Standard kit includes a height-adjustable driver"s seat, CD player with steering wheel controls, parking sensors and electronic brakeforce distribution. The hatch comes with 1.3 or 1.6-litre petrol engines, developed by Proton-owned Lotus.
