Pronounced Cinque Terre...

Pronounced Cinque Terre, it"s named after a famous area of rocky coastline in northern Italy. A Fiat UK spokesman said: "This is a concept for the Geneva Motor Show, and is a 4x4 version of the Idea. At the moment, there are no plans for the vehicle to go into production."

However, given Fiat"s recent past - in which an SUV-style Panda was unveiled then confirmed as going on sale - company insiders reckon there"s a good chance the 5Terre will make it to showrooms, too. The car"s Idea underpinnings are clear to see, although the newcomer has raised suspension and distinctive two-tone bodywork. The cabin features natural materials such as woven coconut matting on the floor and in the boot. The dashboard has what"s described as a "moss-effect finish" that"s soft to touch, while the controls are all metallic.
