From the sublime to the... well, we wouldn"t call the Panda ridiculous - it"s a former New Car Honours winner after all. But in terms of transport in James Bond films, it"s not quite an Aston Martin Vanquish. The Fiat has a part in the next 007 movie, a remake of Casino Royale, where it will play a supporting role to Bond"s traditional wheels.

Police in South Wales have become the first to pull motorists over and give them a roadside eye test.
Drivers failing the on-the-spot "visual MoT" - reading a registration plate 20 metres away - are warned they face arrest if they get back behind the wheel. Driving without corrective lenses carries a ÷£1,000 fine and three penalty points.
