A clever device that could stop thousands of drivers misfuelling has won financial backing on the hit BBC TV show Dragonsò€™ Den. Mike Cottonò€™s invention replaces the filler neck with a resized one that wonò€™t allow the smaller petrol nozzle into a diesel car.

Owner General Motors has revealed that last year"s British debut of the American marque was a flop - and it"s planning a big brand relaunch with another car.
The BLS family saloon hit dealers here last May, but disappointing sales of only 200 to date prove it has failed to impress British buyers. A company insider told us it was "the wrong car" to showcase the brand, and said top brass have now decided to try again next spring - with the all-new CTS.
Having debuted at January"s Detroit Motor Show, the luxury saloon is set to go on sale in the UK next April. "The CTS has more obvious Cadillac styling," the source told us. "It"s also a new generation car, built specific÷ally for Europe, with improved dynam÷ics, quality and handling."
The relaunch isn"t the only big decision GM has had to make. In a bid to boost Cadillac"s appeal, it has also decided to take over the brand"s distribution, along with that of sister firms Hummer and Corvette.
Until now, Dutch company Kroy÷mans had been the official importer of all three marques, with an exclusive distribution tie-up with the huge nat÷ionwide dealer group, Pendragon.
The insider said: "The network will stay as it is for now, but as sales grow, this move will give us greater flexibility to sell these cars outside the Pen÷dragon chain if we want to."
Meanwhile, Hummer"s baby H3 is due on sale here in right-hand-drive guise in October, with an estate version of Caddy"s BLS arriving in November.
