Nissan"s new supersized...

Nissan"s new supersized Qashqai may come with two extra seats, but theyð€™ll cost buyers nearly £1,000 each.

With the Qashqai+2 set to hit UK showrooms, the car giant has announced a starting price of £17,199 ð€“ Â£1,800 more than for the entry-level five-seat two-wheel-drive model. The four-wheel-drive range-topper comes in at £23,799.

But buyers shouldnð€™t feel too short-changed. The new arrival not only comes with a third row of fold-flat seats in the back, but is also stretched by 210mm to increase interior room. Thereð€™s an extra 90 litres of boot space over the smaller model, too. All Qashqai+2s have a panoramic glass roof as standard, as well as three trim levels, plus a choice of six-speed manual or auto gearboxes and a semi-automatic CVT. Engines are both 2.0 litres: a 138bhp petrol unit or a 148bhp dCi diesel.
