Mercedes might be looking to fill a niche with its CLT shooting brake, but Vauxhall is aiming to capture the mass market with its Insignia Sports Tourer estate!
Weò€™ve already had official photos of Vauxhallò€™s spacious family car ò€“ but these spy shots show the car hooked up to a caravan, and are the first to suggest a four-wheel-drive derivative is on the way. Not content with trying to be top of the family car market, Vauxhall also wants a slice of the profit from tow-car customers. And the fact that Vauxhall is still testing the estateò€™s dynamics this long after the saloon variant was signed off backs up the firmò€™s claims that this is a going to be a completely unique model.
But this is one car that will need to be on its game if itò€™s going to steal sales from the already established class-leaders, which include the Ford Mondeo Estate and Honda Accord Tourer. Weò€™ll have more details when the Insignia Sports Tourer is revealed to the public at the Paris Motor Show in October.
