Called the Ryuga - which is Japanese for "gracious flow" - the concept certainly manages to live up to its name. A wide front grille and low nose, plus a sporty profile, give the Ryuga a chic, sleek look.
It"s the latest in a series of concepts that hints at how future Mazda models will look, and follows on from the Nagare, which was revealed at the Los Angeles expo in November. According to design director Laurens van den Acker, the Ryuga "combines vibrance, confidence, fun and youth, all in one ingenious package". Mazda will also take the wraps off a Tribute petrol-electric hybrid MPV, which could pave the way for a European version based on the popular 5 people carrier.
