It’s the comeback the world has been waiting for. The legendary Ferrari GTO is set to make a return, thanks to expert Dutch coachbuilder Vanden÷brink Design. The firm has devised this modern-day take on the classic 250 GTO from the Sixties.
Ferrari’s 599 GTB provides the under÷pinnings, but only its windscreen and A-pillars survive the transformation untouched. And the bespoke body÷work has a host of 250 GTO trademarks, including a trio of semi-circular air intakes on the nose, vents in the front wings and an upswept tail.
Five examples of the 599 GTO will be built, and thanks to bespoke interior and exterior trim, each car will be unique. The standard V12 has been uprated from 611bhp to 641bhp, but customers can get even more power by selecting the 630 GTO option. This has a 739bhp 6.3-litre engine which cuts the 0-62mph time by two-tenths-of-a-second, to 3.4 seconds.
