Researchers from the University of California say some animations get involved in too much risky behaviour, and producers should include hidden public health messages. Professor Deborah Glik explained: "Lack of depictions of safety behaviour can prove fatal to unassuming children who may mimic what they see."

It can be all too easy...

It can be all too easy to lose your motor in a car park, especially if itò€™s an unfamiliar location. But the new Backtrack GPS finder from Bushell solves the problem once and for all.

The device is similar in size and shape to a stopwatch, and while the maker claims it is compact enough to slip in a pocket or purse, we felt it was a bit big.

Still, operation via the two buttons was simple, and we liked the fact that different locations ò€“ such as your home or place of work ò€“ can be assigned to different symbols.

Finding a vehicle in a car park was generally easy, but it wasnò€™t always totally accurate. Tilting the angle of the unit slightly confused it, too, and meant we missed the car we were trying to find.

This a fun gadget that is an interesting talking point. But itò€™s a little bit too expensive for us.
