It"s four decades since...
It"s four decades since Mazda first fitted a rotary engine to one of its cars, and to celebrate, the firm has built this RX-8 Rotary Engine 40th Anniversary. The marble white model has uprated suspension, special badges, 18-inch chrome wheels and a unique black and silver Alcantara cabin. Its colours pay homage to the 1967 Cosmo Sport – the company’s first ever rotary-engined car. Only 200 are being made and they are earmarked for sale in Japan, although buyers in the UK may be able to get their hands on one through a specialist importer.
French giant Michelin...
French giant Michelin has recalled some of its tyres for cars and light vans. The defect, which could see the tread detach itself from the rubber on 46,000 tyres, mainly affects US drivers, but a batch of European-bound BFGoodrich All-Terrains are also involved. Owners are being advised to get their tyres checked by their local main dealer.
