"These markings keep drivers on the correct path," Paul Watters explained. "Without them, you could be on the wrong part of the road, which is at best inconvenient and at worst dangerous."

To celebrate the car"s run of victories in the American Le Mans racing series, a special version of the coupé has been created. Called the Z06 Ron Fellows edition, it"s named after the Canadian driver who has scored multi÷ple ALMS wins. The model comes in white with red stripes on the wings that bear his autograph. Under the skin is the 505bhp V8 from the standard Z06, which takes the car from 0-62mph in 3.9 seconds.

Ever lost your mobile...

Ever lost your mobile phone when it’s slipped off the passenger seat, or been irritated by coins sliding around the console? Hang on to your gadgets and silence the cubbyhole clutter with this Premium Dashboard Mat, from Duck.

We put it through its paces driving on a variety of road surfaces, including potholes and sleeping policemen, and around tight roundabouts, to see if it would hold our phone and loose change in place.

Resembling a webbed net, it seems to grip the trim or seat fabric as soon as you set it down. Our twisty and bumpy test route was chosen specifically to put the mat under pressure, but it came through with flying colours, with our money and mobile remaining in place throughout the whole journey.

The Premium Mat is bigger than its rival, the Grabmat, which we tested in Issue 958. This means you can hold far more items safely in position – and it costs less than half the price.

Produced by the people behind Duck Tape, it’s easy to remove and place on any part of the car, and doesn’t leave marks. And if it gets dirty, simply pop it in to the washing machine.
