The maker is beating...
The maker is beating a path to the heart of the US car market with a raft of fresh metal at the expo - including a new model that"s coming to the UK in right-hand-drive form early next year.
Designers clearly think...
Designers clearly think the key to increasing the Cayenne"s appeal lies in the lights, and the mag" simage shows the circular shape of the restyled lamps, complete with all-new detailing and integrated indicators.
Below them is a revamped bumper, set apart by fresh spotlights in the corners of the air intakes. At the rear, fresh tail-lamps have been added, complete with clear plastic covers and intricate LED units, as well as a smoother, revised bumper.
Inside, expect a complete overhaul, with a restyled dash and centre console, while the model"s premium image will be enhanced by even higher-quality materials throughout.
Under the skin, engineers will update the suspension to bring the Cayenne"s handling and refinement up to the standard of rivals. Yet there aren"t likely to be any under-bonnet changes - so the 3.2-litre V6, 4.5 V8 and flagship Turbo units will remain. Sales are tipped to begin towards the end of the year, with a slight price rise across the ÷£35,000-÷£70,000 range.
In the meantime, Porsche will increase interest in the outgoing line-up with a hot Cayenne Turbo S. Power rises 71bhp to 521bhp and torque 100Nm to 720Nm, enabling the newcomer to cover 0-62mph in 5.2 seconds and hit a 167mph top speed - 0.4 seconds and 2mph up on the Turbo. Bigger brakes will also feature when it arrives in summer, priced around ÷£72,000.
