For value for money...
For value for money, it’s hard to beat the new Citroen C5. The French firm has announced that prices will start at less than ÷£16,000.
But the Finn still doesn"t...
But the Finn still doesn"t believe he can stop the Frenchman from retaining the coveted WRC crown. With Loeb overcoming some dramas of his own to finish second in Greece, Gronholm remains well adrift of the Citroen star in the championship standings.
As the 16-round campaign reaches its halfway point, Loeb has 74 points to Gronholm"s 45. "Sebastien is too far ahead, but I"m sure we can win some more rallies," admitted Marcus, who was delighted to be back on top.
The 38-year-old started his debut season as a Ford driver with wins in Monte Carlo and Sweden, but more recently has endured a succession of frustrating mechanical failures.
However, against all the odds, he led almost the entire four-day event as his Focus survived some of the toughest conditions experienced in the FIA World Rally Championship for many years. "It"s great to have the winning feeling again," said Gronholm. "We have been on the pace all year, but suffered some bad luck. However, now we are finally back on the top step of the podium. The Focus was strong and fast all the way through, and it"s satisfying to win such a tough rally."
He continued: "We all know that the Ford has huge potential and I hope we can show that more over the next few rallies. I genuinely think we can push for victory everywhere during the second half of the season."
