Organisers of the July...
Organisers of the July event in London have revealed they"ve been in negotiations with Nanjing Automobile, the Chinese firm that bought the remnants of the Birmingham set-up. And their plan is to get "some sort of presence" at the expo. A show spokesman told us: "We suggested Nanjing have a stand or sketches of a future model, but it didn"t want to do that."
Blend Seventies style...
Blend Seventies style and modern reliability as you beat the jams on one of Vespaò€™s new S scooters. They pay homage to the brandò€™s classic products, but are designed to withstand the rigours of modern motoring.
Uniquely in the scooter world, the Vespaò€™s sheet steel body acts as a structural frame, which is claimed to give exceptional rigidity. Thereò€™s a choice of 50cc or 125cc versions ò€“ drivers who switch from four wheels to the latter would need to complete a dayò€™s ComÒpulsory Basic Training first. But both comply with Euro III emissions rules, and feature dual-action hydraulic shocks. On the larger-capacity model, the rear susÒpension is adjustÒable. Disc and drum brakes are fitted, while the 11-inch front wheel is said to provide impressive stability when manoeuvring.
You can choose Sport or Touring seats, for handling fun and comfort respectively. Paint options are limited to red, black and white, but there are six graphics kits, while accessories include a chrome-plated luggage rack. You can even buy a matching Vespa helmet.
All models get a two-year warranty, while the 125cc also has a yearò€™s roadside recovery.
