A survey conducted by...

A survey conducted by mail order company Carparts-direct.co.uk suggested 28 per cent of motorists had suffered some kind of vandalism to their vehicle in the last three years. Most suffered scratches to paintwork while parked, a snapped aerial or dented body panel while some suffered major damage causing thousands of pounds worth of repairs. Only 32% of the victims questioned reported the incident to the police.

The company produces a range of car covers, which are increasing being used by motorists for added protection from vandals.
