Could it be the ultimate high-performance 4x4? A 280bhp go-anywhere Unimog, developed by German tuner Brabus, was unveiled at the Dubai Motor Show. Based on the standard U500, it has a 6.4-litre engine which produces a huge 1,100Nm of torque - three times that of a Jaguar X-Type 2.2-litre diesel. It doesn"t come cheap, though, at around ÷£156,000.

The one-off six-wheeler...

The one-off six-wheeler, which measures a whopping six metres in length, conveniently seats six as well. Built by a specialist firm in Los Angeles, it comes with all the usual gadgets you"d associate with a limo, including a flat-screen TV, a DVD player, air-con, full black leather and a telephone in the rear to let passengers speak with the driver. The highlight however, has to be the two-person whirlpool in the back.

A simple safety device...

A simple safety device designed to remind motorists which side of the road they should be driving on has been endorsed by the Institute of Advanced Motorists.
