ABD Road safety spokesman Mark McArthur-Christie explained: "Whilst this law will give just retribution for those killed by such drivers, it will not make the roads safer. Most who drive in a careless manner simply do not believe they are going to kill somebody so will not adjust their habits. The real and serious problem of drivers not taking care will therefore remain unaddressed. The ABD have for many years called for the police and the judicial system to crack down on careless drivers before they kill using the perfectly adequate existing laws. Sadly, prosecutions for careless driving are not taken seriously by the court system and the police are therefore reluctant to take careless drivers to court. Prosecutions therefore remain extremely rare." How to repair Outlook Express Inbox folder

A clever device that could stop thousands of drivers misfuelling has won financial backing on the hit BBC TV show Dragonsò€™ Den. Mike Cottonò€™s invention replaces the filler neck with a resized one that wonò€™t allow the smaller petrol nozzle into a diesel car.

Deborah Meaden and Theo Paphitis will now work with Mike to market the Ò£69.99 device. Cotton said: ò€œThe backing allows us to take production from 4,000 units a month to 30,000 and meet demand.

These pictures show two options for the TVR bike, produced by one of the firm"s ex-designers, Glynn Kerr. The red one is a high-performance rival to another British machine, the Triumph 955, and the legendary Honda Fireblade. In order to compete, the TVR would require a power output of more than 150bhp, a 0-60mph sprint time of around three seconds and a maximum speed in excess of 160mph.
